The Community Rejuvenation Project was developed to transforms blighted areas of the Scarborough community. Our goal is work with local neighbourhood groups and other small businesses in the surrounding areas to bring our community back to life for the betterment of our youths. Scarborough has the potential to become an attractive, all-season, community with gathering places that appeal to all age groups. Currently, our community is in a state of disrepair. The overall neighbourhood is not well designed/kept to meet the needs of our diverse community, and lacks appeal for a variety of age groups.
It is well-known that the outdoors all over the world are the places where the youngest players have their first contact with basketball, baseball, Soccer, Track and field and many other sports. This was how all the great champions of the past and present began, we believe that rejuvenating our community outdoors will foster the development of future champions.
This Project is design to:
- rebuilt playground
- Rebuild Basketball Courts/soccer fields/baseball diamonds and more
- pathways and bike bumps
- skateboard path
- shade structure and picnic tables
- walkway lighting and benches
